Japanese carmaker Nissan is planning to recall about 841,000 vehicles worldwide after complains about a defective steering wheel.

The recall affects 133,869 models of the Nissan Micra that were built during 2002-2006 in Sunderland, UK, as well as Cube vehicles, which were produced in Japan.

According to the company, a bolt used in the steering wheel was not tightened properly and however said that there was no danger of sudden failure.

Nissan Motor spokesman said that the nut that holds on the steering wheel can become loose over time.

"Drivers could start notice some wobbling of the wheel and if this is ignored there is the possibility that it could come completely off," spokesman added.

The company claims that there have been a few incidents of steering wheels becoming loose, but there have been no accidents.

Earlier, the automobile manufacturer had recalled about 500,000 vehicles across the globe due to the defective in passenger airbags.
