Berry Plastics has created new packaging for French’s Flavor Infuser brand, for which it received the 2013 Tube of the year award in the tube design category from The Tube Council.
Berry's Design Center has designed the new one-step marinade package by using a laminate tube, custom spike marinade injector and clear overcap.
Berry Plastics product line management director Alex Abbott said the multiple component French's package uses stock as well as custom designs through the tube technology.
"The French's Food Company asked Berry Plastics to help deliver a package that could be a 'one time' use and eliminate the typical 'mess' of marinades," Abbott added.
According to Berry, with the clear overcap the consumer can see the red spike and understand the ease of using the squeeze tube design.
