Packaging products provider Clondalkin Wentus has launched a new skin-tight film, WENTOPRO-SkinTight, for the food processing industry.
The new film is said to provide long shelf life and high barrier properties, and can be used for packaging food products such as meat, poultry, fish and sea food products, as well as cheese and ready meals.
Produced at the company's Hxter plant in Germany, the transparent film has high vacuum properties that allow it to wrap around the product like a second skin.
The film also offers better shelf appeal as well as a secure seal to avoid contamination and leakage.
Clondalkin Wentus new business development director Christian Claes said the company invests primarily in research and development of new packaging solutions that meet the needs of its customers.
"We believe that we've achieved this through WENTOPRO-SkinTight," Claes added.
According to the company, the new product can be used with all types of films and trays, and is compatible with all types of converting machines.
Additionally, the skin tight film has an easy peel corner to simplify opening
