Chevrolet, a subsidiary of the US based automobile manufacturer General Motors (GM), has commenced production of Captiva sport utility vehicles (SUV) at GM's Rayong Assembly Plant in Thailand.
The company will manufacture 2014 model Chevrolet Captiva SUV at the facility and has rolled out first vehicle at the production line.
According to Chevrolet, the vehicle is one of the most successful SUV's in the Thailand market with sales of over 35,000 units since its launch in the region.

The new Captiva features passive entry passive start (PEPS), which allows the driver to unlock the doors and start the engine by being in-range of its sensors without handling the key.
Other features of the vehicle include illuminated steering wheel-mounted cruise-control and audio controls that offers clear view of the controls in low-light conditions and new upholstery with finishing touch.
Exterior features of Captiva include a redesigned front bumper with new fog-light covers, rear bumper with integrated chrome exhaust tips and new rear light clusters.
