Yeou Yih Steel, the major stainless steel plate maker in Taiwan, has announced its sales revenue in December totaled NT$333 million, rising by 21.1% from a month ago but falling by 23.39% year on year.
The company said its shipping volumes and selling prices have rebounded in last December.
Meanwhile, since Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), the major stainless steel producer in Taiwan has announced to hike prices for January, it may help Yeou Yih to have better sales number in this month.
In the fourth quarter of last year, Yeou Yih's sales revenues amounted to NT$947 million which, falling by 6.7% from a quarter ago.
For the prospect, Yeou Yih said that once the nickel prices stay firm, the company might have the optimistic sales number in the first quarter of this year.
