Purac has announced that the company will offer high performance poly lactic acid (PLA) resins for brand owners, converters and compounders to speed up market introduction of bioplastics.
According to the company, its biobased PLA technology allows for the creation of high performance PLA homopolymers which can deliver peak heat resistance of up to 120°C (HDT B).
In a bid to accelerate the market introduction of the next generation PLA further, the company decided to offer a range of specially developed high performance resins to the market.
The range includes PLLA homopolymer resins, PDLA homopolymer resins and PLA compounded blends containing PLLA and PDLA homopolymers.
Purac will offer the PLA resins and blends for sampling and product evaluation purposes and will also support and supply industrial scale PLA product evaluations directly.
The company is a part of CSM, a global player in bakery supplies and food ingredients.
