The first open development gaming controller for the iPhone or iPod touch
An International CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Award honoree, the iFrogz Caliber Advantage will soon provide gamers with an enhanced console-style gaming experience for their Apple iPhone 5 or iPod touch. The Caliber Advantage is an analog game controller and case, providing 360-degree motion control with viewing options in both portrait and landscape. Gaming action is made possible through Bluetooth® 4.0 pairing and dual, left and right slide-out controls that feature responsive keys for an accurate, high-quality gaming experience. Available in the first half of 2013 for $69.99, the Caliber Advantage will also feature an integrated lithium polymer battery offering 10-12 hours of continuous play without the need for a charge.
A complete line of mobile accessories for kids
Under its iFrogz brand, the company also debuted a full line of accessories for children two- to 12-years old. Named Animatone, the accessory lineup includes plush toys with the ability to amplify sound from a mobile device. The Animatone Snug utilizes the Near-Field Audio amplifying speaker first introduced with the iFrogz Boost. Snug users simply place a smartphone, MP3 player or other portable device in the front pocket of the Snug to provide kids a fun and interactive way to listen to music or watch videos. Available in two designs, Charlie the Chubby Chimp, and Priscilla the Pink Pal, the Snug can be purchased soon at iFrogz.com for $49.99.
Also available for children are decorative, volume-limiting earbuds and headphones, as well as a protective iPad case, the Animatone Tumble.
A premium 2-in-1 desktop speaker
Winner of Gotta Be Mobile’s “Best Accessory” at CES 2013, the ZAGG Origin desktop speaker system features two high-quality speakers in one unit. The small, portable speaker provides listeners with high-fidelity sound on the go, and then docks and transfers the audio to a large desktop speaker and charger for room-filling sound. The Origin’s dock speaker contains a 4-inch subwoofer, two 2.5-inch midrange speakers and two 1.5-inch midrange tweeters. The small, portable speaker contains two 1.5-inch midrange speakers and a 2-inch subwoofer. The Origin comes complete with a remote control and USB ports for auxiliary use. ZAGG will launch the Origin this spring with a retail price of $249.99.
Also displayed at CES were additions to the company’s headphone and earbud offerings, including the ZAGG ZR-NC, the company’s first noise-cancelling headphones, as well as another International CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Award honoree, the iFrogz Boost Plus wireless speaker for smartphones and MP3 players.
