Acura Has Announced The 2014 Mdx Prototype at North American International Auto Show

Acura has unveiled the 2014 MDX prototype at the ongoing 2013 North American Cin Detroit, US that is scheduled for launch by mid 2013.

The vehicle is powered by a direct-injected 3.5L i-VTEC SOHC V-6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM).

Acura national marketing operations vice president Mike Accavitti said that the company's goal is to advance on MDX's already great dynamic performance while improving fuel economy and luxury comfort.

"Building on the great momentum we established in 2012 with the launch this year of our flagship RLX, followed later this year by a terrific new luxury SUV in MDX we are very excited about the direction of the Acura brand," Accavitti added.

The MDX features new front and rear suspension designs, available with all-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive, Acura Jewel Eye LED headlights, Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) systems.

The company has also unveiled the 2014 Acura RLX that is powered by a direct-injected SOHC 24-Valve i-VTEC V6 and the Acura NSX concept car powered with the V-6 engine and two motors driving the front wheels, with an all-new dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
