Chrysler Group Has Come Back Around 270 Units of Its FIAT 500e Vehicle in US

US based automaker Chrysler Group has recalled about 270 units of its Fiat 500e vehicle over an improperly installed shaft in the engine.

The recall affects about 270 units of the 2013 model year Fiat 500e battery-electric vehicles that have been sold to customers as well as the vehicles with dealers.

According to the company, the half shaft in the vehicle's powertrain was not installed properly resulting in its separation, which may result in power loss.

The problem was discovered after a customer complained regarding the power loss, which was caused as two of the assembly steps were not completed properly, leading to half shaft separation.

Under the recall, the company will replace bolts that secure the vehicles' half shafts.

The Fiat 500e is an electric version of the Fiat 500 ultra-compact four-seater car.
