Unisource Corporate, a developer of logistics software, has entered into an agreement with Garvey Nut and Candy, a distributor of candy items, to deploy its cloud-based platform Visionship G3 Transportation Management System.
Nut and Candy, which was recently acquired by Wythe Will Tzetzo, is a leading distributor of candy items, nuts, dried fruit and trail mixes on the West Coast. The company has over 12,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) in its multiple distribution facilities.
Visionship is a transportation execution system that integrates, automates and tracks inbound and outbound data in the global transportation supply chain for Unisource's clients. It is a Software-as-service (SaaS) plaform that will enable Unisource's clients like Garvey and Nut to access key supply chain data at any moment.
Garvey Nut and Candy California director of operations Steffani Corri said that Visionship gives the company the transparency it needs, and will vastly improve its logistics, customer service, and save Garvey significant costs in the process.
"We are extremely impressed with Visionship's technology, and will be rolling it out to all of our national facilities over the coming months," Corri added.
Recently, Unisource announced a Visionship partnership with Engage Technology,. Visionship G3 is already available nationwide after being launched on 17 July 2013.
