Coal Stocks at China's Four Major Bohai Sea Ports Totaled 18.816 Million Mt on Sunday

Coal stocks at China's four major Bohai Sea ports totaled 18.816 million mt on Sunday, down 1.03 million mt or 5.2% week-on-week, Qinhuangdao Port said Monday.

The drop in combined coal stocks at the four ports was due to increased restocking by downstream power plants, the port said.

Coal stocks at Qinhuangdao Port dropped 8.9% to 7.41 million mt on Sunday; stocks at Caofeidian Port dropped 3.7% to 4.92 million mt; stocks at Jingtang Port dropped 4.4% to 2.85 million mt. However, stocks at Tianjin Port inched up 0.5% to 3.64 million mt.

The number of vessels queuing at the four ports totaled 110 on Sunday, down from 221 a week earlier, Qinhuangdao Port said. These figures compare with 206 on March 17, 188 on March 10 and 138 on March 3.
