Power management company Eaton has introduced new range of medium-duty dual clutch transmissions called Procision which claimed to offer 8% to 10% better fuel economy.
Procision provides 7-speed transmission that uses electronic shifting and dual clutch design to provide better fuel economy than other vehicles having similar clutch transmission.
For better acceleration the company has used dual clutch technologies which will also facilitate drivers to efficiently get to the highest gear.
The company has also included Eaton Dynamic Shifting allowing the transmission to switch between performance and economy shift.
Eaton Commercial Vehicle Transmission general manager John Beering said: "The all-new Eaton Procision is the first dual clutch transmission for class 6-7 in North America."
"Its smart features deliver more savings and driver confidence, and is the ideal transmission solution for medium-duty applications."
