Telecom company AT&T has introduced a new Fleet Management Solution to help transport companies increase productivity and improve safety.
The service will deliver bundled solutions designed to fulfill the needs of governmental, commercial, and long-haul trucking organizations.
The new fleet solution will provide commercial truck drivers, long-haul and private field workers with real-time information about their vehicles and equipment, which would help them save fuel, be in par with the regulation and provide better customer service.
Transport companies will have to choose from the 15 different hardware options and get access to the web-based fleet management dashboard, which will allow them to track the vehicle.
The field managers will be provided with automatic updates which will help them find out the hours of service, unnecessary idle times, identify quicker routes for drivers along with information regarding vehicle condition.
AT&T vice president of advanced mobility solutions Mike Troiano said: "Companies are looking beyond smartphones and tablets to help mobilize their business. We offer a full complement of fleet management services to help improve efficiency and performance for customers."
