Lancaster General Health will deploy the Digisonics structured reporting solution at multiple facilities for their OB/GYN, general ultrasound, vascular ultrasound, CT and MR studies. With the Digisonics system, LGH users will have access to fast image review, a comprehensive analysis package and structured reporting for all modalities. The added Digisonics Search package will provide users with a comprehensive and configurable data mining tool, enabling them to generate productivity, efficiency and Q/C reports.
The Digisonics structured reporting software will be fully integrated directly with dozens of Lancaster General Health's different ultrasound systems, automating the transfer of patient biometry and images thus eliminating human input error. The DICOM Server will integrate Digisonics directly with LGH's McKesson PACS. After reports are finalized, the Report-to-PACS interface will convert a copy of the signed report into a DICOM file for storage on the McKesson PACS. HL7 interfaces for Orders In and Results Out will create a fully electronic workflow between the hospital's EPIC EMR system and the Digisonics structured reporting system. An added upgrade to the Results Out interface will embed a hyperlink to a PDF copy of the finalized report in the HL7 message. The result will be a fully integrated electronic workflow, creating efficiency, improving patient care and overall report turnaround times.
