With the order of " Ignition of N0.3 Blast Furnace" at 10:30 on Nov. 16, 18 blast furnace workers re ignited the fire of N0.3 Blast Furnace. With the indication of success in overhauling and putting into operation of N0.3 Blast Furnace and being bathed in sun shine the new Blast Furnace starts its new journey.
Baosteel has created a new record in large blast furnace overhaul for shortest time, highest efficiency ,less investment, safety and no ccident.
More than 400 people witnessed the this significant moment for ignition of No.3 Blast Furnace. Those among them were Dai Zhihao, General Manager of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd, Zhao Zhouli, Deputy General Manager of Baosteel Group Company , Zhou Jianfeng Deputy General Manager of Baosteel Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd, Lin Jian Chairman of Labour Union, Chu Shuangjie, and Hou Angui, Deputy General Manager of Baosteel Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd, and the representatives design, construction, equipment, materials, supervision and production units.
At 10:00, the ignition relay ceremony started. By tapping hole of No.1 Blast Furnace, the main torch holder, Liu Kaihua could help feeling deeply stirred. He said " passing of the torch is the transmission of the spirit in "85 ? 9" . As a young furnace superintendent, I will inherit the good style of old generation, leading the staff to produce more iron, and good iron, to run the course for furnace much more prosperously.
At 10:05, Zhang Longlai, Deputy Director in Iron Making Plant lit torch for relay in his hand, and he said excitedly that quick overhaul of No. 3 Blast Furnace of Baosteel shows the advanced level for management and technology. Its operation will greatly enhance the capacity for iron making in Baosteel. When the torch was passed to his hand, Ma Jianqiu the furnace superintendent of No.3 Blast Furnace said excitedly that the new No. 3 Blast Furnace not only inherits our dreams but also carrys our hopes. The workers of No.3 Blast Furnace will surely take care of ' her ', going on writing of brilliant of ages of the furnace for the first generation, and let 'her' play a better role in production and operation in Baosteel."
In 2011, Baosteel decided to implement the short-term quick overhaul of No. 3 Blast Furnace. Under the efforts from personnel for design, construction, supervision, equipment and production, the overhaul of No. 3 Blast Furnace was finished within just 76 days. The leader of Baosteel attaches great importance to the overhaul project of No. 3 Blast Furnace, not only giving guidance and help decision making and also inspecting construction site often during overhaul period - to understand the situation of project progress, quality and safety of construction, Condolences to overhaul the war construction personnel, to encourage everyone to complete overhaul tasks safely with high efficiency and high quality.
To guarantee the targets of n"The overhaul of No. 3 Blast Furnace with safety, quality and efficiency" Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd, set up the headquarter for overhaul, and started the work of early plotting and preparation. For maintenance command, and carried out the early planning and preparation work. The project design aims at the world advanced level with completely independent design adopting a series of new technology, new technology, new equipment, and scheme of overhaul has been revised several times with the effort to control the engineering investment, ensure the schedule, quality, safety for the overhaul.
