Axalta Coating Systems, one of the global automotive coatings leaders, has announced that Fiat Group Automobiles Mopar Parts & Service and Customer Care division has approved Axalta's three global refinish brands – Cromax, Spies Hecker and Standox - for use in selected dealerships and bodyshops across Europe.
Adrien Schrobiltgen, vice president of Refinish Systems for Axalta in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said, "this new agreement reinforces our partnership with Fiat Group Automobiles. The common passion we share for technology and beautiful design strives to result in ever-more productive bodyshops and satisfied customers."
The intent of the agreement is a close commercial cooperation between Fiat Group Automobiles and Axalta Coating Systems within European countries for continuous improvement in paint repair. The agreement also covers the brands' technical color management and other service support for Fiat Group Automobiles bodyshops in Austria, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Switzerland. Fiat bodyshops in other markets, such as France, Spain, Greece and the Czech Republic, have expressed their interest in having the approval extended to them as well.
The approvals followed the favorable completion of tests carried out on Cromax, Spies Hecker and Standox by Fiat Group Automobiles. Each brand demonstrated excellent quality and durability coupled with outstanding efficiency and productivity.
