US-based Nordson and Henkel in Germany have announced the commercial launch of the Freedom Integrated Hot Melt Packaging Solution.
The solution combines tankless Freedom Series hot melt dispensing equipment of Nordson with Henkel's Technomelt Freedom-certified family of adhesives to help customers simplify operations and maximize productivity.
Nordson Senior Adhesive Dispensing Systems vice president Peter Lambert said from the automatic filling system to dispensing applicators and nozzles, it studied and improved everything.
"Our goal was to reduce packaging costs and complexity for users. We looked beyond conventional hot melt systems and approached the adhesive dispensing process from the users' perspective," Lambert said.
By employing the solution customers can derive value in the form of six freedoms including freedom from adhesive availability concerns, freedom from downtime associated with char and contamination, freedom from manual adhesive filling.
The freedoms also include freedom from parent machine mounting and integration limitations, freedom from confusing controls and diagnostics and freedom from excessive adhesive use.
