US based automotive aftermarket retailer, Advance Auto Parts (AAP) has completed the acquisition of 124 stores of BWP distributors through an all-cash transaction.
The transaction also includes the rights to distribute to 92 locations, which will be given to General Parts International (GPI), a privately held auto supply company.
Advance Auto Parts will operate two of BWP's distribution stores in Sutton, Massachusetts and Delran, New Jersey.
Based in Armonk, New York, BWP was established in 1962 that supplies, markets and distributes automotive aftermarket parts and products in about 216 locations.
Advance Auto Parts is a retailer of automotive aftermarket parts, accessories, batteries, and maintenance items in the US, offers both the do-it-yourself and professional installer markets and operates 3,727 stores in 39 states.
