Valspar Sourcing has obtained a patent for an article comprised of a body portion or an end portion of a food or beverage can comprised of a metal substrate;and a coating composition disposed on an inside surface thereon,wherein the coating composition includes an emulsion polymerized latex polymer,and wherein the emulsion polymerized latex polymer is comprised of a reaction product of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer component polymerized in the presence of an aqueous dispersion of a polyurethane resin.
