ELGA Process Water has supplied a fourth high purity water system to Lofthouse of Fleetwood in the UK to meet increasing worldwide demand for the company's Fisherman's Friend lozenges.
Lofthouse of Fleetwood's new production facility needs 1000 litres per hour of purified water to meet FDA and MHRA pharmaceutical standards.
ELGA Process Water,a Veolia Water Solutions&Technologies company,supplied an IonPRO LX treatment system incorporating reverse osmosis and continuous electro-deionisation(CEDI),with a fully automatic sanitisation sequence to ensure microbiological compliance.
Lofthouse of Fleetwood has also taken up a five-year service contract covering all four of the ELGA Process Water treatment plants on the site.
