Mercedes Benz has unveiled new GLS, which is set to make its debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show.
The new GLS is likely to be a refreshed version of the company's GL class and according to Mercedes it combines luxury, comfort, agile dynamics and safety.
There are several versions of the car that include GLS 500 4MATIC, powered by V8 biturbo engine capable of producing 455 hp and 700 Nm of torque.
GLS 400 4MATIC is another version, featuring V6 biturbo engine capable of producing 333 hp and 480 Nm of torque, and the Mercedes-AMG GLS63 which is capable of producing 585hp.
The GLS 350 d 4MATIC is a high end version featuring V6 diesel engine capable of producing 258 hp and with ample torque of 620 Nm.
Mercedes Benz claims that when compared to its predecessors the next generation GLS is more efficient, has extended DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes, and features the latest stage of development of the air suspension system AIRMATIC.
The models feature roof rails, underguard, shoulderline trim strips, and luggage compartment handle.
Users can also select the AMG Line exterior consisting of rear aprons, side running boards, side flaps painted in the vehicle colour for a sportier look.
For passenger safety the car features COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS, Crosswind Assist and ATTENTION ASSIST along with cruise control with variable SPEEDTRONIC speed limiter and the steering assist function STEER CONTROL.
Buyers will be able to order the next generation car from next month, with US deliveries expected to take place in March next year.
