AK Steel announced that its shipments of stainless and electrical sheets totaled 215,100 short tons in the second quarter of this year, lower than 227,500 short tons in the same period of a year ago, due to oversupply, falling raw material prices and sluggish export market.
In the first half of this year, the company’s shipments for stainless and electrical sheets amounted to 419,500 tons, decreasing by 5.2% year on year.
