Toyota GT86 CS-R3 rally car is set to make its public debut at the ADAC Rallye Deutschland.
The car features 75-liter FT3 safety cell and has a rear wheel drive, which allows modification to its two-liter boxer engine.
As part of a development program, the car maker changed the cam lift and compression ratio of the GT86 CS-R3, the final version is expected to deliver 240-250 horse power.
The car will also feature tarmac and gravel suspension kits and the limited slip rear differential along with sequential shift six speed transmission which would facilitate high performance.
Toyota GT86 CS-R3 will go on sale in the first quarter of 2015, but the pricing details have not been announced by the company yet.
Customer Motorsport Principal Engineer Nico Ehler said: "This is exciting news for TMG and, I hope, for rallying in general. To see a new rear-wheel-drive rally car hitting the stage for the first time should be a real spectacle."
"It's important to say that the GT86 CS-R3 which Isolde will drive is not the finished article; we need the data from Rallye Deutschland to finalise our development programme."
