NAV-3D Technologies, a pioneer in the field of 3D multimedia entertainment devices, today announced the launch of their new line of glasses free 3D media players, cameras and camcorders. Incorporating the latest advancements in 3D technology, three new NAV-3D media players eliminate the need for users to wear 3D glasses to view 3D content, and three new NAV-3D digital cameras make it easy to capture and share 3D photos and videos in ways never thought possible.
The NAV3D6, NAV3D8 and NAV3D8B digital media players come equipped with a stereoscopic 6" or 8" parallax barrier 3D display. The parallax barrier is a layer of material embedded into the screen that contains a set of precision slits, forcing each eye to see a unique set of pixels, creating a sense of depth.
The NAV3DCAM-12 can capture 3D videos in high definition (1920x1080 resolution) or up to 16.0-Megapixel still images (with interpolation) while letting users preview the 3D effect instantly using a 3.2" parallax display 3D viewfinder. The NAV3DCAM-10 and NAV3DCAM-11 incorporate this same 3D display technology, but capture videos with a maximum of WVGA or 720P resolution (respectively).
NAV-3D also offers a library of full length downloadable 3D movies directly on their website, making it easy for their customers to build their own 3D movie collection. The NAV3D6 Glasses Free 3D Digital Media Player is priced at $199, and the NAV3D8 and NAV3D8B are both priced at $299. The NAV3DCAM-10 is priced at $199, the NAV3DCAM-11 at $299, and the NAV3DCAM-12 at $399. NAV-3D currently has limited units available for special order for which there is a 1-3 week delivery time.
