Tenaris Invests Approximately US$1.5 Billion to Build New Seamless Pipe Plant

It is reported that Luxembourg-based tubulars producer Tenaris has announced to invest approximately US$1.5 billion to build new seamless pipe plant in Bay City, Texas.

The new plant is designed the annual seamless pipe production capacity to 600,000 tons and is expected to join the operation in 2016.

Meanwhile, the company is optimistic to see the potential market in order to gain share in the region. In addition, the new mill is expected to begin processing tubing as early as April accordingly.
