Global property and casualty insurer ACE Group has named Benoit Chasseguet as the new marine manager for Continental Europe, including the Central and Eastern European region, with immediate effect.
Based in Paris, Chasseguet will report to ACE Overseas General Global Marine executive vice president Peter Seymour and ACE Group Continental Europe executive vice president Serge Osouf.
Chasseguet will be responsible for managing the performance and further development of ACE's European marine portfolio, including for both domestic and multinational corporate customers.
Seymour said Benoit's leadership will enable the company to further improve its customer proposition and also drive the profitable growth of its portfolio.
''His impressive track record as an underwriter managing large cross-border portfolios, as well as his operational skills and strong market relationships, make him extremely well-placed to lead our Continental Europe marine team,'' Seymour added.
Benoit holds over 20 years of experience in the European property and casualty (P&C) insurance market, and worked as European P&C manager at ACHMEA Group, prior to joining ACE.
He also served at senior underwriting positions at Eureko BV and CIGNA.
