US based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer EPIC EV has unveiled the new TORQ Roadster, which is claimed to be the world’s fastest 3 wheeled EV.
The new EV is equipped with a Lithium powered electric motor that generates an output of about 400hp and a peak torque of 600 lb-ft.
Additionally, the EV is anticipated to sprint from 0 to 60mph in about four seconds, while its 3 wheeled architecture would allow achieving over 1G of lateral acceleration.
Features of the model include Wilwood 4-piston brakes as well as a Formula 1 style enhanced custom cam suspension and chassis, which have been created by Palatov Motorsports.
Magnum Offroad have built the Chassis and the Lithium Storage has been offered by Flux Power, while Motive Industries are responsible for styling the new roadster.
Initially, the EV maker is planning to manufacture about 50 TORQs for the first year and increase the production in 2014.
