Farm Boy Recalls Its Own Brand Plain Croissants

Farm Boy, based in Ottawa, Ontario, is recalling its own brand Plain Croissants, as they contain egg and milk which are not mentioned on the label, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced.

The recall includes Farm Boy Plain Croissants sold in packages of six units (300g) with UPC code 0 210018 203991, packed on date from 2013.SE.10 to 2013.SE.23.

The product was sold only at Farm Boy, 499 Terry Fox Drive, Kanata, Ontario. One illness has been reported associated with the consumption of the product.

Consumers intolerant to milk and egg have been advised not to eat this product, as it may result in a serious or a life-threatening reaction.

Farm Boy is voluntarily recalling the affected product, while the CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
