MGIS Has Appointed Kurt Meyer as Its New Vice President of Operations, Group Benefits

The MGIS Companies (MGIS) has appointed Kurt Meyer as its new vice president of operations, group benefits.

In his new role, Meyer will be responsible for benefits operations which include underwriting, account management and implementation.

MGIS president Jeff Brunken said, "He will play a pivotal role as we move ahead with key projects and new product initiatives."

With more than 25 years of experience in the group benefits industry, Meyer has functional expertise in sales, sales operations, product development, marketing and distribution and supported organizations growth in their Employee Benefit, Voluntary, Retirement and Healthcare programs.

Earlier, he served Guardian Life Insurance in New York City, Lincoln Financial Group in Philadelphia and OneAmerica in Indianapolis, US.

MGIS provides specialized group disability insurance, medical-professional liability insurance, and practice improvement ancillary products and services to more than 10,000 physician groups, 900,000 group members, and 300,000 physicians nationwide.
