Raleigh Bicycles has promoted George Simone to national sales director, the company announced Monday.
Simone joined Raleigh in 2010 as a regional sales manager for the company's east region, and was later promoted to sales director for that region. Previously he has worled for Specialized, Dorel and Brunswick and has owned a bike shop in Newport, Rhode Island.
“The team at Raleigh Bicycles has built its reputation and growth on our singular mission: to strive daily to be of service to our specialty retail partners,” said Steve Meineke, president of Raleigh America. “Our commitment has created healthy and sustainable growth within our specialty dealer base.
“Through our growth we have resources to invest in our team to further our commitment to IBD’s. We’ve identified the need to have a leader for our sales team who embodies the stalwart commitment to serving specialty and that’s George Simone.”
