Samsung Display,a major company specializing in display panel products and technologies,reported that it has commenced its business operations as a newly integrated company with S-LCD and Samsung Mobile Display corporations.
During the general meeting of board of directors and stockholders,the CEO and Vice Chairman of Samsung Electronics,Oh-hyun Kwon was elected as CEO of Samsung Display,which has over 39,000 employees and 7 manufacturing units across the world.
Kwon said that the continuous efforts taken by Samsung Display by combining its expertise in the field of display products with innovative thoughts helped the company achieve unlimited growth.He also added that the combined strengths of the company will direct Samsung's display business through a number of years by converting the company's synergistic benefits into extensive,tangible results.
Samsung Display has planned its corporate slogan to be'displays beyond imagination'and stated that it would progress with an aim to consistently lead the future.
Samsung Display intends to expand its management efficiencies and optimize the synergistic effects of business initiatives concerned with its organic light-emitting diode(OLED)and LCD products,through its association with S-LCD and Samsung Mobile Display.The company also plans to improve its competitive edge in the global market by means of combining supply chain management and precision large panel operations with OLED production technology.
