Century Packaging has installed a new Mitsubishi Diamond 3000LX sheetfed press at its headquarters in East Brunswick, New Jersey, US.
Installed to augment the company's packaging printing capacity, the six-color, 40-inch press shares the pressroom floor with a similar Mitsubishi press that has been in operation since 2009.
The Diamond 3000LX has the capability to handle a wide range of stock types and thickness and delivers printing on paper, packaging board and plastic substrates ranging in thickness from 0.0016 to 0.040 inches.
Century Packaging outfitted the press with automated plate-changing system SimulChanger, which replaces all six plates with new ones simultaneously in a short span of time.
The company caters to cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food and automotive products companies, among others.
