Towers Watson, a professional services company , effective from November 1, 2012, replacing Walter Bardenwerper, who is retiring at the end of November.
Towers Watson chairman and CEO John Haley said Kirkland's proven track record during the last 12 years in the firm's legal team made him an ideal candidate for the role.

Hicks, who currently serves as managing counsel, commercial, for the Americas region, joined Towers Watson in May 200.
He also holds Towers Watson's diversity and inclusion council for the Americas, and has worked on legal assignments throughout North and South America, as well as in both the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions, said the underwriter.
