BMW has detailed its incubator program dubbed BMW Startup Garage, which is designed to tap into the potentials of innovative startups.
The automaker also highlighted that, with the program, startups will be able to get in touch with BMW easily without having to go through lengthy internal processes and procedures.
It will allow the company and the startups to work on flexible collaborative projects, and facilitate the identification of more startups.
The German automaker announced that it will select a couple of startups that will undergo a special programme lasting several months, and they will also receive assistance in building up their network within the Group and chalk out a business plan.
BMW highlighted that the programme aims at developing a functional prototype with an application relevant to the BMW Group.
The automaker also highlighted that its venture capital wing BMW i Ventures is also working with with young enterprises developing innovative solutions for urban mobility.
BMW has also teamed up with UnternehmerTUM at Munich's Technical University for the creation of "TEchFounders" accelerator programme for technology start-ups.
