Navistar Has Launched Its New Heavy-Duty International Workstar Vocational Truck

US based truck maker Navistar has launched its new heavy-duty International WorkStar vocational truck in the home-market.

The vehicle is powered by the company's 13L engine with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) emissions technology that is made available with outputs ranging from 365hp and 1,250lbft of torque to 475hp and 1,700lbft torque.

Navistar has launched the vehicle in two variants including the 7600 SBA with 46inch set-back axle and 7600 SFA with 30inch set-forward axle, both of which feature a 113inch bumper to back-of-cab (BBC).

Navistar North America Truck and Parts president Bill Kozek said with the launch of the WorkStar with the company's 13L SCR engine, it continues to make great progress in engine transition strategy and customers are benefitting from its expanded product line-up.

"We're well positioned to continue our positive momentum and we are on schedule to complete the SCR transition in our remaining heavy-duty truck offerings by early August," Kozek added.

Features of the vehicle include high-visibility hood, huck-bolted frame and cross-member system with a number of frame-rail options, diamond Logic electrical system, double-sided galvanized steel cab and Dual-powered steering gears with large front axle.
