Balamara Resources Has Discovered More Thick

Balamara Resources has discovered more thick, high grade intersections of zinc, lead and silver at its Montenegro Base Metals Project in central Europe. A resource upgrade for the project is slated for delivery in January 2013.

The recently completed resource infill and upgrade drilling has extended the upper zone of massive zinc-lead-silver mineralisation at the main Brskovo deposit.

One hole intersected a wide zone of high grade zinc-lead-silver mineralisation, returning 18 metres at 4.97% zinc, 3.41% lead, 0.27% copper and 13.5 grams per tonne silver from 134 metres.

This hole also intersected a very high grade core of massive sulphide from 140 metres, delivering 7 metres at 8.32% zinc, 5.75% lead, 0.53% copper and 24.8g/t silver.

Drilling has focused on the main Brskovo deposit, outlining an extensive mineralised system beneath the historic open pit comprising two broad, well defined zones.

Another hole intersected the lower zone of high grade silver mineralisation, returning 5 metres at 2.87% zinc, 1.92% lead, 0.81% copper, 90.9g/t silver and 0.58g/t gold from 159 metres; including 2 metres at 6.49% zinc, 4.27% lead, 1.89% copper and 147.6g/t silver.

Importantly, this hole has re-established and extended the strike length of the high grade silver zone in the west of the mineralised system.

These holes have also delivered highly encouraging results for both copper and gold associated with the lower mineralized zone, which adds further potential for incremental value at Monty beyond the zinc, lead and silver already encountered.

The upper zinc-lead dominant horizon is open at depth and the total strike length has been extended to about 200 metres in length.

The lower silver-dominant horizon is open at depth and to the northeast and its strike length has been extended to about 150 metres.
