BMW has unveiled its BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer, a premium compact seven seater model which marks the beginning of the company’s new vehicle segment.
The seven seater vehicle is 4,556 mm long, 1,608mm high, and 1,800mm wide, with an luggage compartment up to 645 to 805l.
The standard-fitted fore-aft sliding rear seat bench is also capable of folding down in a push of a button, which can offer three child seats.
The vehicle will be available in four model variants, and will be powered by three and four cylinder engines with power ranging from 116 hp to192 hp.
The fuel consumption of the models range from 6.4-3.9 l/100 km with CO2 emissions combined of 149-104 g/km.
Users can also opt for BMW EfficientDynamics package to enhance the performance and efficiency of the car.
Upon the market launch the vehicle will be available with all-wheel drive option.
BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer features BMW ConnectedDrive to enhance the cars safety and driving ability. It also features Head-Up Display that displays information into the driver's field of view.
BMW is also introducing the "myKIDIO" app to the vehicle that can be operated via iDrive Controller and Control Display to provide content that will suit the taste of the entire family.
