Yuzhuralnickel BOD included into Mechel Group decided to suspend production process for a long term period and to put equipment into prolonged storage.
This decision was prompted by rather long term negative trends on the world nickel market and unfavorable forecast.
Yuzhuralnickel (TIN 5613000143) is included into Mechel Group. It is a large nickel and cobalt producer. The reserves of nickel are appraised to cover above 1mln ton; cobalt 90ths ton.
The 9 month 2012 net losses (RAS) gained RUR 995.06 million against RUR 233.051 million in profit last year; revenues declined 41.47% to RUR 5.178 billion from RUR 8.846 billion losses from sales gained RUR 1.378 billion vs RUR 106.416 million in profit pretax losses coming to 1.219bn rub. vs. 309.488mln rub. in profit
