BrewDog Has Raised £3m to Expand Its Operations

BrewDog, a Scotland-based independent brewery, has raised £3m to expand its operations through crowd funding scheme - Equity for punks.

The company plans to use these funds to further expand its new brewery, its growing bar division and a new series of bottle shops across the UK.

Earlier, the brewer has started a crowd funding campaign to raise £4m by offering investors its 42,000 shares available at £95 per share.

BrewDog co-founder James Watt said raising £3m in just two months demonstrates the epic support behind the craft beer revolution.

"We are now well past our previous record of raising £2.2m in 2011, and fast approaching our £4m target, with over 10,000 individual investors now owning shares in BrewDog," Watt added.

Based on the investment, the company is offering every share holder a 5% discount in BrewDog Bars and up to 20% discount on BrewDog's online shop.
