ExxonMobil nominated its February US butadiene contract price unchanged from January as 83 cents/lb ($1,830/mt), sources said Wednesday.
ExxonMobil was unavailable to confirm immediately.
Market expectations were for a rollover to slightly higher February US butadiene contract price.
US butadiene demand has remained weak, sources said, while inventories have been described as adequate.
US spot butadiene was last assessed Friday at 81 cents/lb CIF US Gulf Coast and heard at about 80 cents/lb CIF USG Wednesday.
The other three producers -- Shell Chemical, LyondellBasell and TPC Group -- have yet to nominate February prices, sources said.
The January US butadiene contract price settled in a rollover from December at a 76-83 cents/lb split settlement, with TPC Group, Shell and LyondellBasell at 76 cents/lb and ExxonMobil at 83 cents/lb, sources said.
Producers were unavailable to confirm the January contract.
