Taiwan-based PV conductive paste maker Giga Solar Materials has seen increasing market share in the silver paste segment, heaping pressure on international competitors, such as DuPont, according to sources with Taiwan's solar cell makers
Due to intense competition, international suppliers have lowered PV silver paste prices but their pricing is still higher than that of Giga Solar, the sources said.
In view of growing demand in the China market, international supplier Heraeus will begin constructing a PV silver paste factory in China at the end of 2014, the sources noted.
