Lexus has announced that the 2016 Lexus RX crossovers are set to make their market debut this month after the vehicles made their public debut earlier this year.
The automaker said that it has made improvements to the sheering's feel and response and heightened that the vehicles agility and improved technologies are designed to help optimize structural integrity and overall rigidity. It will offer the cars in gas and hybrid versions.
The RX 350 features 3.5-liter direct-injection gasoline-powered V6 engine capable of producing 295 horsepower at 6,300 rpm with 267 lb- ft. of torque at 4,700 rpm.
On the other hand, the RX 450h hybrid is capable of providing 308 horsepower and an estimated 30 mpg in combined city/highway driving.
The interior of the car features a lowered rear floor section and the seating is similar to the one provided in the Lexus LS luxury sedan.
Lexus RX also features Lexus-first Touch-Free Power Rear Door designed to allow users to open the rear hatch by placing a hand near the Lexus emblem.
The cars will be showcased at the Miami International Auto Show along with GS sedans and RC coupes.
Lexus Southern Area general manager Jason Cropper said: "There is no better place than Miami to talk to drivers about exciting vehicles.
"This is a city full of energy, making the Miami International Auto Show the perfect venue to showcase the newest offerings from Lexus. These vehicles refuse to blend in. They are taking the brand to new, exciting places."
