Honda is planning to unveil its American manufactured Pilot SUV at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
Just like its predecessors, the new Pilot has been designed and developed by Honda R&D Americas in Los Angeles and Ohio, and the engine is produced at the company's Lincoln, Alabama plant.
The eight-passenger car will help the company increase its market share in three-row SUV segment which will feature advanced technology, safety features while offering fuel economy.
The vehicle has been given a new design and features technologies that are not yet available in mainstream SUV segment. the company said.
Honda Division senior vice president Jeff Conrad said: "Honda continues to fortify its light-truck lineup in 2015, this time turning our eye to the fast-growing family SUV segment.
"The new Pilot will raise the bar in a segment it helped to create, with more innovation, style, premium features and family utility than ever before."
The new Pilot SUV is expected to be launched across Honda dealerships in the US this summer.
