KOBRA Shredders has signed a deal with Officeworks, which will see the Italian-made product on sale for the first time through the retailer's website.
The KOBRA range, which has primarily been sold through the B2B channel, starts at $439 (RRP) for the base model and extends to $39,995 (RRP) for its high-end 'industrial' version.
KOBRA Shredders Australia managing director Michael Brash told Stationery News that he was excited to be selling KOBRA shredders through Officeworks.
“We are extremely proud to offer our range of shredders to Australian customers on the Officeworks website,” said Brash, who has family connections with the former Allens and Brash's music stores.
“KOBRA Shredders, manufactured in Milan, are among the most advanced shredders in the world due to their innovative continuous motor function, which eliminates cycle-time, and the 'Energy Smart' system that saves power during down-time,“ he said.
“It is also fantastic to align our well-respected European brand to Australia’s leading office supplies provider,” he said.
The partnership will see KOBRA continue its expansion into the Australian market, while Officeworks will broaden its shredder range even further through the introduction of 16 new KOBRA shredder models.
Officeworks buyer – printers, shredders and scanners, Andrew Whiting, said that the partnership reinforces Officeworks' commitment to offering customers the biggest choice of shredders.
“By offering KOBRA’s high-quality range of shredders, Officeworks now offers a multitude of shredders to fulfil the needs of any small-to-medium business or large industrial customer,” he said. “We are also proud to be offering a full range of KOBRA shredders online which will make them more accessible than ever to Australian consumers.”
KOBRA Shredders Australia is the sole and exclusive distributor of Elcoman (Italy) and Data Security Inc. products in Australia and New Zealand. Elcoman is one of the largest paper shredder manufacturers and is a specialist in the area of high security and top secret shredders of paper and optical media.
