PTI reported that the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India a 12.45% increase in its total sales at 1,03,200 units in November.
The company in a statement said that the company had sold 91,772 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales stood at 90,882 units compared with 82,870 units, registering a rise of 9.67%. Exports went up 38.37% to 12,318 units from 8,902 units.
Total passenger car sales in the domestic market rose 2.35% to 74,793 units from 73,078 units in the same month of 2011.
However, sales of the company’s mini segment cars, including M800, A Star, Alto and WagonR, fell 5.76% to 36,679 units from 38,921 units.
In the compact segment, Maruti Suzuki witnessed a 7.63% rise in sales to 23,849 units from 22,159 units.
