Sainsbury's Recalls Kids 20 Pork Cocktail Sausages Because Packages Labeled Incorrect Date

Sainsbury's, a UK-based retailer, is recalling its own brand Kids 20 Pork Cocktail Sausages as some of the packages might have been labeled with an incorrect 'use by' date of 25 December 2013.

The products should have been labeled with a 'use by' date of 25 November 2013.

The product subject to recall is By Sainsbury's Kids 20 Pork Cocktail Sausages of 180g featuring 'Use by' date code 25 December 2013.

The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a product recall information notice as eating a product after its 'use by' date could pose a possible health risk.

Customers who have purchased the affected product have been advised to return it to Sainsbury's store for a full refund.

Sainsbury's has withdrawn the affected product from sale and displayed point-of-sale notices in stores, regarding the product recall. No other products are known to be affected.

In addition, it contacted the relevant allergy support organizations, which will inform their members about the withdrawal.
