According to NPD’s Top Games Manufacturers performance table, the firm remains number two in the UK, in terms of full-year percentage value.

It achieved a further 4 per cent growth during 2012, within a total market growth of per cent.

The news comes following ToyNews' report on board games last month.

"As the country’s leading independent games company, we are delighted to have more than held our own in this increasingly competitive segment of the toy industry," said Drumond Park’s co-founder and Marketing Director Claire McCool.

“Both our games portfolio and - thanks to our friends in the trade - our sales at retail continue to grow steadily, with our highly popular Logo family of games performing particularly well in all three age categories.

"And this year our 12+ games have literally swept the board - with ten of the country’s Top Twenty Adult Games being ours.”

The Logo family of board games is now the second most popular property within the games industry, according to Drumond Park, behind Monopoly and ahead of Bop It.

Logo sales rose 63 per cent year-on-year.

According to NPD’s Full Year Retail Sales by Value figures for 2012, all of the following Drumond Park titles appeared in their respective Top Tens: Pig Goes Pop, Logo What Am I?, Logo, Articulate, Logo The Best of British, The Million Pound Drop, Rapidough, Logo The Best of TV & Movies, The Wordsearch Game, Gross Magic, The Box of Shocks and Stephen Mulhern’s Magic Set.
