Blue Competition Cycles has added four industry veterans to its sales force.
The Mansfield Group, led by Wayne Mansfield, will represent the high-end road brand in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida, while Tom Kern & Associates will rep Washington, Idaho, Northern California and Hawaii.
Quattro Sports, led by former ASI territory sales manager Kurt Luoni, will manage Southern California, and Jason McCormack’s Velo Persona Sales group will represent, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.
The moves follow the December 2012 purchase of Blue by Lake Rudd Capital Partners from its founders, Michael and Jay Skopp, after the brand ran short of capital to continue investing in production, which tied up inventory at factories. Lake Rudd immediately brought aboard Steven Harad, former brand manager for ASI’s Kestrel, as CEO in a bid to return Blue to profitability.
“These sales reps are all professionals that will help launch Blue Competition again after the brand was purchased last year. They bring a high level of experience and professionalism and will be a great addition to the team,” said Harad.
Additionally, Daniel Stallings, previously an inside sales representative, has been promoted to inside sales manager and will manage the outside sales team.
