Automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has launched the new pick up truck, Bolero Maxi Truck Plus (BMT Plus) in Mumbai, India.
The truck is powered by a 2523cc four cylinder Common Rail engine that generates an output of 63bhp and 195Nm of toque with fuel consumption of 17.7kmpL.
Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive Division chief executive Pravin Shah said the company has continuously updated and evolved it products for its customers.
"The Indian pick-up market is growing more rapidly than ever before and Mahindra has been leading this category with a 54% market share during FY 2012 -2013," Shah added.
The truck has been built on Mahindra Bolero Pick-up platform and comes with power steering, payload capacity of 1150kg, wrap-around headlamps, dual-tone interiors with matching trims as well as fabric seats.
Features of the vehicle include leaf-spring front suspension and the digital Immobilizer that is claimed to prevent the truck from being stolen.
