Zhang Chunxian stresses that Bayi Steel southern Xinjiang base construction is of great significance, the location and resource advantages are great and market radiation ability is strong. He hopes that employees of all ethnic groups can strive ahead and make achievements.
Accompanied by Bayi Steel Party secretary and general manager Chen Kuanzhong, Zhang Chunxian and his retinue inspect southern Xinjiang base steel smelting mill. Once entering the mill, Zhang Chunxian and field staff shake hands and have cordial conversation. Zhang Chunxian is very pleased to see the bar production line in trial production and the process from steel smelting continuous casting to rolling. From time to time he stops and watches, learning in detail the construction, production line trial and product specification.
Bayi Steel southern Xinjiang steel base project designed annual production capacity is 3000000 tons of steel and is an important part of Bayi Steel "one body two wings" strategic layout. It is founded in August 2010 and is ignited and begins trial run on March 28 this year. The project is the steel project with the largest one-time investment, largest construction scale and highest automation level in Xinjiang iron and steel industry construction history.
When informed that Bayi Steel southern Xinjiang steel base overall equipment level is of first class and has surpassed Bayi Steel headquarter, that product specification is complete and that it not only can produce ordinary building material but also develop high-end products; that the base wastewater treatment environmental protection facilities and technology, energy saving and clean production technology such as power generation with residue energy are all very advanced; and that once officially put into operation, the pulling effect on local economy is significant, Zhang expresses his affirmation. He points out that opening up market takes time and one should assume risks and responsibilities. However from the strategic point of view, this is significant. Bayi Steel southern Xinjiang steel base's strategic layout is very good. This base has high construction standards and in line with new industrialization requirements. When Zhang Chunxian comes near rolling machine cooling bed and see the rolling mill employees in orange working dress, he pays his respect by waving his hand and approaches and askes them about their study, work and family situation (see the photo). In future, it is convenient either to advance westward or cover surrounding areas. This mill is thoroughly modern, high level. Especially the steel base's location in southern Xinjiang is of great significance. It will be a new economic growth point for Bayi Steel.
